Alba was founded by Max and Emily Thomson, a husband-and-wife team with a longstanding love of property and a belief that it could be done with more care, thought and accountability.
The name Alba is deeply personal to our family. It honours our daughter, Alba, whom we devastatingly lost during pregnancy in 2023.
When we began building the business together, her name felt like the natural choice — a quiet way to keep Alba close to us and part of something we were creating as a family.
Her name is part of every day here, and we hope the way we build the business, treat people and care for the homes we look after is something she would be proud of.
